The 2025 QRW Satellite Meeting on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) will bring together research scientists, clinicians and policymakers to address multiple aspects of the AMR challenge facing Aotearoa / New Zealand. The meeting will cover a broad range of subjects, including biomedical research, policy, clinical application and antibiotic stewardship.
Sessions will include:
- AMR Policy in New Zealand
- Diagnostics and Surveillance
- AMR in the Environment
- New Antibiotic Development
- Innovative Strategies against AMR
- Access to therapy, drug stewardship and patient advocacy
- Translational Pathways for New Antibiotics
The Centre for Antimicrobial Research at the University of Auckland offers a limited number of grants-in-aid to support students to attend the conference. Interested students (Honours, MSc, and PhD) should submit a brief application letter detailing their academic background, research interests, and how attending the conference will benefit their academic or professional development. The application letter must be submitted as part of the abstract submission process.
