Plenary Speaker: Prof. Graham Le Gros KNZM CRSNZ FRSNZ FRCPA (Hon)

Sir Graham Le Gros is one of New Zealand’s leading immunologists having made discoveries in cellular immunology and being involved in the development of novel immunotherapies. He served as the Director of the Malaghan Institute from 1994–2024 and built the Institute into a world-class centre for immunology and biomedical innovation. He led an groundbreaking research programme in allergic and parasitic diseases, was pivotal in establishing New Zealand’s first CAR T-cell clinical trial and was a founding director of the Vaccine Alliance Aotearoa New Zealand. In 2025 he was made Knight Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit, for services to medical science.
